Whats the website that sells virtual MTG cards and once you get a complete set they will mail u the real cards?
I knew a guy that said there was a web site where you can buy virtual magic the gathering cards and you can play online. He said that if you get a complete set they will mail you the actual cards. He said that you can buy the whole set at once or a few cards at a time. Does anyone know what this website is?
That would be Magic Online (MTGO) the official online version of the game, run by Wizards. You get the software and buy an account; you pay real money for virtual card packs, building up a collection. If you have at least 1 of every card in a in-print expansion (not masters edition, or the sets older than Mirrodin or so), a button appears to “redeem” that set for physical cards. They come from WotC direct in a small white sealed box.
You cant buy the set all at once virtually- you must collect cards thru buying packs and trading singles with others. A very long process. But you can cheat the process a little by buying virtual cards and occasionally sets off eBay or other sales sites. Some online stores offer to sell you MTGO cards, where you login after the sale and they will transfer the cards to your account.
Its easiest to get a full set from a seller on eBay – some sell the very thing I mentioned (the sealed WotC box) or a hand-organized full set.
